Saturday 11th August
Today was Hen Harrier Day at Rainham Marshes. There were several guest speakers including Mark Avery, Ruth Tingay, Natalie Bennett, Martin Harper and surprise guest speaker Chris Packham.
There has been a huge reduction in wildlife over the past 50 years. They highlighted that we have to protect not only Hen Harriers but our environment. From insects to hedgehogs, foxes, badgers, mountain hairs and raptors such as Hen Harriers and Golden Eagles. Also to keep our wild flower meadows, moor land and trees to help with global warming and flooding. We all have to do our part to help save our planet.
