Had really good view of the Wryneck at Landguard on 14th September 2018. It was the first time that I had ever seen one and managed to get a photo.

What a stunning picture of a rare bird Ben! You was in great luck to spot her! Did you know they are also known as twister and snake birds, as they can turn their head and neck through almost 360 degrees, and the fact that when startled they can hiss like a snake? Very interesting bird that will shortly be leaving for Africa for winter. Well done Ben! 🙂
